In his new album Doomed to the 20th Century, released under the Laptra label, Antolín breaks a six-year silence. This ten-track album reflects on the passage of time, solitude, and life’s mysteries. It’s not just music – it is music that is intended to complement a vision. Antolin explains that it is more of a wannabe interactive visualization that allows the audience to explore an entire area, look through windows, interact with props, meet diverse people, and encounter various activities.

Carolina Donati – “Tonight”

The year begins juts that way for Carolina Donati who has released ‘Tonight’ produced with Matías Cella. The song is imbued with a sense of intimacy and bleakness in the lo-fi sonics and the lyrics. She shows a more visceral and evocative quality that turns her audience into a self-reflecting space. Such “Tonight”, is a single from the forthcoming third album of the Argentine singer-songwriter which will be out later in the year.

Francisca and The Explorers – “We Will Be Idiots”

Francisca and The Explorers comes in with a new single titled ‘ We Will Be Idiots’ which Nicolás Btesh was in charge of production. The song was co-writed with Esmeralda Escalante and César Pop in Madrid during their Franco Saglietti’s take of vast macroscope before the forthcoming album ‘Macumba’ that has all the fans waiting impatiently.

Marki – “Radiohead”

Argentine artist Marki presents Radiohead, one of the singles from his album Yass, which is set to be released soon. This video is as much about the British band as it is a personal story of loss and exile, which, as the music develops, ends in acceptance. We see Marki in the music video in desolate locations, further contributing to the somber feelings portrayed in the song.

Planta, Anyi, and Simona – “Music”

Music has come after Sunrise and Spot from Perras on the Beach trio’s former members who now go by the name Planta. This song features fellow Argentine artists Anyi and Simona who contribute their voices to give warmth to this psychedelic tribute produced by Fermín Ugarte alongside the band. The release comes with a videographic montage recorded with friends during their walks in nature.

Saramalacara – “Smoke”

Saramalacara’s style is hybrid as she draws inspiration from both emo and Eurodance, which is clear in her latest single Smoke. In this particular song, Argentine pop artist Saramalacara shares her thoughts on the changes in her life and new processes in her career. This particular video focuses on different parts of Saramalacara, and with that a search for identity and self is sent out to the viewers.

Wiranda Johansen and Lara91k – “Honey”

In “Honey” her latest single, which features themes of grief and metamorphosis, Wiranda Johansen creates a diverging sound for herself in collaboration with two others – Lara91k and Percii. She thus looks to the distant past and where she wishes to go. The sense of loss in the process of moving on is what this song depicts at the very core.

Yoni Yonki – Yoni Yonki

One can figuratively place a photograph of this singer songwriter named Yoni Yonki on a pedestal. These nine tracks boast mind twisting samples and ear glossed hooks that effortlessly compliment nostalgic views of attraction with progressive concepts. Now calling Buenos Aires home but originally from Misiones, Yoni Yonki has remained a topic of interest after his stint with the duo Canoe as well as in his solo acts.

Zenón Pereyra – “I Don’t Want to Go Far Away”

In his recent song, ‘I Don’t Want to Go Far Away’, Zar Del producer Pablo Giménez collaborated with Argentinian artist Zenón Pereyra, creating a heart-wrenching storyline in the process. Synths spaced out on the rhythm with a syncopated linear melody allow movement to erratic sounds conveying the positive and negative views concerning love, thus narrating a drama.
