The debut EP Send Nudes by Fiah Meow is an extraordinarily atypical release that’s hitting the right chords in the industry. Meow meow. Let’s say, the first four songs of this EP are doing quite something when it comes to the genre. They go beyond reggeaton, and dancehall, and electro-pop and techno rave, to become… something eloquently different. Fiah’s fierce and erotic style permeates through the music and the visual style which is thoroughly 2000’s-inspired: sexy and empowering, and bold.
Focusing specifically at Ignacio Laspada (Ygnacyo) who used to be a member of Bitches on the Beach and now with Plant, it is a true collaboration on Fiah Meow’s Send Nudes. Snringsatarsn. The singer’s album, Send Nudes, has excellent production, the rich sound because of a mix of the experimental and trap/perreo beats. Both of them shifted smoothly through many styles making the energy of the piece rise and air dance.
The presence of You Point It Out to Me guitarist, Gabriel “Cocó” Orozco, in post-production work is also relevant as he grows much more complex surrounding the already strong force of Fiah. With this, Fiah Meow creates great tension and sounds provocative making sure the world knows who is the one to own the stage.
If you wish to explore the music of Fiah Meow, Send Nudes can be streamed on Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music, an excellent way to get acquainted with the cheeky newcomer.
