Actors have to deal with a lot of meltdowns, and it might be the toughest in a house that’s burning with projects they value. Looking at Dakota Johnson, she spoke about the widespread criticism for Madame Web, suggesting she expects nothing wonderful after seeing how the movie turned out. On the other hand, Sofía Boutella opened up to her feelings regarding the Reider Snyder’s Rebel Moon negative reviews in which she plays the lead character, Kora. Even though she soundly believes in her own abilities, it has been hard for her to cope with the failure to receive further acclaim for her efforts, especially when the movie rates only twenty one percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
Sofía Boutella did not shy away from adversities in an interview with Vulture when she revealed, “I always thought I was prepared to take those hits… but reading the reviews really affected me.” Looking further around the bush fails to cut it and she is pretty frank about taking responsibility concerning not only Kora’s character but also the whole team that struggled with the film. Yet again in a strong position, she declares that she is proud of the attempts made in making Rebel Moon and will support it even if it happens to be a one-off attempt.
Also, Boutella acknowledged the contribution of Zack Snyder because he gave her the chance to explore more emotions for her character. She hinted that the second part of Rebellion Moon, and all its seas in neon light, will be out in April on Netflix and will focus on Kora’s past and the guilt that she possesses. She said, “In the second movie, you discover something that is fun for me to address. Kora’s Past, but I don’t know how to forgive the character. She just killed somebody.”
Fans of Snyder have high expectations of Snyder Cut of Rebel Moon being released someday in the future since it would allow Snyder to include scenes and elements that were cut. A Snyder cut also known as extended version could help in delivering a captivating and complete layer of the viewers as well as understanding synder’s vision of the film.
