The series Pyramid Game opened recently in South Korea, woth captures the audience with a plot with psychological and survival thriller. The emphasis on bullying and obvious resemblance to Squid Game have sparked much interest.
The Netflix hit which premiered in 2021 featured a kind of contest which turned into a fight where contestants battled each other through a number of risks in order to earn large amounts of money. At this time, Pyramid Game also changes the stage to grade school, but some aspects still remain.
The series was created by Lee Jae-gyun and stars South Korean band WJSN member Kim Ji-yeon, Jang Da-ah, Ryu Da-in, Shin Seul-ki and Kang Na-eon in the lead roles.
The pyramid Game directed by the same web comic illustrates the story of students who rank their classmates based on how popular they are. The students who are at the bottom end of the ranking are subject to bullying and abuse in the context which is the school.
In this age of rampant school violence, this series would help provide such insight. It is known that at the present time this title cannot be found in Argentina, however it is predicted that very soon it will be available on the streaming service.
