Ozzy Osbourne is regarded as a hardcore music lover. Over the years, the former Black Sabbath frontman has appreciated some albums releases but only one of them is timeless in his view.
John Michael Osbourne has always been fond of Judas Priest, a band with Rob Halford and Ian Hill, as per Far Out Magazine. In particular their release British Steel, one such heavy metal band osbuilt.
In one of the interviews given to Rolling Stone in 2017, Osbourne was asked to make a list of his ten favorite records in the history of metal music. Among the masters of Metallica, Alice in Chains, Guns N’ Roses, and Led Zeppelin, there was a place for the 6th LP by Judas Priest.
He says, “I think I have heard from say members of the band Judas Priest they are not just inhabitants of Birmingham where I grew up but they are one among the greatest metal bands of all time.” When reminiscing on British Steel, he noted how pertinent the album was and said, “This one had ‘Living After Midnight’, ‘Breaking the Law,’ ‘Metal Gods’. It will still sound fresh even after many years from now.”
