Kommissar Rex (retitled in parts of the world as Rex, a Police Dog REX), produced between 1994 and 2004, and whose revival in the run time between 2008 and 2015 should be considered as a contemporary masterpiece, received enormous amount of love from the audience, primarily because of one character – where Rex, a German shepherd police dog is the main part of the show. When the saga relocated its headquarters to Italy in 2008, Henry was cast in Rex’s role, who was also another dog trained by Miller. Henry starred as Rex until the year 2009 and was remembered for his impressive work on the set. Henry died in 2014 at the age of nearly 14 years.

Nick adopted Rex’s character from 2010 until 2012. Not much is known about Nick’s career outside the show, but he was always a popular and efficient actor while being in the series.

Aki and Tokyo were the last dogs to portray Rex, in this instance, two identical twins, who played the lead role from 2013 until 2015. Aki was the main performer whereas Tokyo was his double.
