The Bear definitely deserves applause for building a captivating story and character arcs that turned out to be commendable. Many viewers, particularly those in the food industry, are likely to relate with Jeremy Allen White who plays Carmy, and his struggle to grow his family-owned sandwich shop into a prosperous business.
On the contrary, it is quite puzzling why Matty Matheson chose to portray the maintenance guy. Having worked in the food business, it feels like quite a waste for him to not be actively cooking. However, it gives more realism to the calibre of the show and helps him avoid the pressure of being in the kitchen. He has also contributed in other ways as a producer and culinary consultant to ensure that the show depicts life in restaurants as it really is.
With the news of a third season, fans are really eager to know how Carmy and his crew will go about their activities this time round especially after all the changes they experienced in the course of the father season. It is drama, humor and a real kitchen environment all rolled up in one show which is great for those who enjoy food and drama too.
